Myths About Interlock
The device will never turn your vehicle off. It will tell you to pull over if and an alarm horn, installed under the hood, will go off until you find a safe place to pull over.
The device is equipped with a 3 Volt Lithium Ion battery which will maintain the memory while the vehicle is off and the handset is unplugged. The system is also programmed to power down after fifteen minutes of inactivity.
No, you are required to provide a breath sample prior to starting the vehicle.

The device is not DNA specific; anyone can blow in it, however you are responsible for the unit and who ever blows in it. Any warns or fails blown by others are still on YOUR report.
There are several “outside sources” which will cause a false positive. Some examples include mouthwash, pizza, and oranges. All outside sources can be eliminated with fresh air and water, so rinse your mouth, air out your vehicle and test again, if you pass within ten minutes the previous fail or warn will not be held against you.
The device does not detect key tones.
